Is it true that East M'sian ppl likes to eat poisonous frog and buffer fish?

No offence, i mean most of the cases i've come across, either the family had admitted to hospital or one of the family members had died due to consuming poisonous frog or buffer fish which mostly can be found in East Malaysia....Is it true that East M'sian ppl likes to eat poisonous frog and buffer fish?
no one eat poisonous frog they use the frog poison located at the skin for hunting purpose that is the blow pipe just like people in South America,as for puffer fish it's eaten by those bajau, suluk and illegal immigrants from southern FilipinoIs it true that East M'sian ppl likes to eat poisonous frog and buffer fish?
I know the Iban like to eat frog because I've eaten it with them (It kind of tastes like fish and chicken combined) but I dont think they were poison otherwise I'd be mati already. I dont quite know what buffer fish are I can only guess they are similar to the Puffer fish that the Japanese eat which if cooked the right way are quite harmless.
yeah i read the article. a deadly meal indeed...
No it's not. At least I don't.
shhh... u will offend the froggi that live here...

Died eating frog!
u should ask gindy, he does that all the time hahahaha
dunno, might be!! it's like killing yourself by doing that..
hmm, never heard of any incident so far... I do eat puffer fish when prepared by seafaring folks, it is really delicious... and I do eat frogs when prepared by the locals. Some toads you have to skin before eating, just like certain geckos. But most young people don't even consider toads or geckos as food any more...
I guess they should be taught on how to identify which type of frogs %26amp; puffer fish can be eaten and also the way to handle it to cook.

Most Chinese in West Malaysia have the skills to identify else sometimes they will ask those specialist - ';elders/fish mongers or chef'; to check it out or cut it up for them. There are various types of puffer fish %26amp; frogs but not all of it can be consumed although some of it resembles each other.

I've eaten both frogs %26amp; puffer fish before. Very nice texture =).

Referrring to the news ';Saya tak tahu kenapa Katang dan anak saya makan katak itu kerana saya yakin mereka tahu ia beracun,'; kata Undi.'; wow... must be the frog hypnotize them to die together.
how could you say that i like to eat my own race...

its a cannibal....
I'm not sure about poisonous frogs but puffer fish, yes. When I stayed in Labuan, we attended the company's family picnic by the beach. Some of the guys caught puffer fish and they cooked it and ate it, right in front of us. I geli and went away. But they all went home alive so I guess there are ways of eating it.
