Are the east coast vs. west coast stereotypes really true?

...That people in the east coast are ruder, but more ambitious and west coasters are polite but more laid back?





My friend lived in california for a while and she said that her teachers never cared whether she or anyone else came to class late or not. our school certainly wasn't like this and i live in the D.C. area.Are the east coast vs. west coast stereotypes really true?
I lived in California and North Carolina...I think the East Coast people are more friendly.....but that's just the states I was in.Are the east coast vs. west coast stereotypes really true?
well i lived in boston and NY . people there are always in a rush. like in public places is hard to take it all nice and slow bcuz they see so many people in one day and everybody is in a rush. go to work,take the train. etc etc.. there are a lot of chores to do in the big cities.





now i live down south(texas). and its very slow here. a lot of free time. people are really nice. but i think is cuz they dont deal with the stress of the big cities. but in both places are rude people and nice ones.





so i dont think the people up north are rude. they just in a fast mode all the time and when u get somebody going up north from the south.


thats when you see the big differece.








when i moved from boston to texas. i thou texas was so laid back. and slow. i went to the rmv. and they were like: A)how u doin. b) im fine. how bout yourr seft? A)im doing great. if it wasnt for all this rain A) iknow my garden is not doing good at all. b) oh girl you got a garden? A) well yes i do.i got vegatables..............................鈥?br>

and with 20 ppl in the line waiting. but hey thats texas.
no the stereotypes arent true..actually i wasnt even sure what stereotyoes you were talking about..but i highly doubt west coasters are more laid back and that your friends teachers didnt care about being late...also, the coasts are very big--so the people in nyc will be different than people in maine who are different than people in georgia or florida --
I have never lived on the west coast, but I do live on the east coast...in Florida....the people here are very friendly.
