In the middle east, homosexuality is very tabu and is not accepted. Men who are openly gay are persecuted, jailed and sometimes killed for homosexuality. If middle eastern men are ';into'; anal sex it would be very discreet and not out in the open. I believe most men would participate in anal sex as the top and not admit to being gay or even bi.

Well most men there are sexually frustrated, due to strong gender segregation. So they have sex with men in order to release that sexual tension. This does not mean they are gay.
Another interesting thing I found, was that only the receiver in anal sex is considered ';gay'; the other partner is not.
I'm not sure for sure, but I would think openly not. In the middle east they are more into reliogion and old ways of thinking, than they are in the united states. Why do you ask?
