in the region?
Considering the political affairs between the USA,Saudi Arabia,Kuwait,Emirates,Iraq,Israel and Turkey, what is the percentage of the possibility of that plan to come true?If the great Middle-East project came true, what impacts would it have on the countries and peoples?
The middle East Project was supposedly drawn up to unite these countries. What worries me is, will it divide the people within each country. I wish we in the western world didn't interfere so much in other people's affairs. When they do ask for help, we are slow in coming forward, but too swift to poke our nose in when not wanted.
Lebanon was bombed by the Israeli air force. What happened to sitting the around the table talking, instead of bombing the hell out of innocent people? We all know that Israel allegedly have the backing of America.
I recently read a paper, The Coalition of The Willing, which was bought about to bring Saddam Hussein down. This bought much criticism even within America. Yet Condeleesa Rice feels The Middle Eastern Project will work, they can't even agree within their own country!
Sorry, it seems to me these efforts to unite counties go badly wrong, because the balance of power is lopsided. Arab countries have a different way of dealing with things to those of us in the west, and until we understand that, and see it more through their eyes, and not the eyes of the western world, we can only do more harm.
So, I don't think the Middle Eastern Project will make much difference to lives within each country or with any interaction between countries.
Anything the West has a hand in is done to butter their own bread. We do not see things from other's point of view. Even though we dress it up to look as though we do...
I would like to add I am not anti American. I have many good friends from that country.
in fact I am not anti any country, or any peoples. I just want us to understand each other better. I find through my contact with people all over the world through the internet , I can do this without the jaundice view of the media!
