Is it true that all north and southbound state and fed highways are odd numbered; east and west even?

I believe so.. i do know that 3 numbered highways are go all around the state. and such.... i am pretty sure it is true thoughIs it true that all north and southbound state and fed highways are odd numbered; east and west even?
yes thats true. the number also represents the actual ocation of the intersate such as I 95 means 95 percent of the us is to the west. I 10 means 10 percent of the us is to the south. etc.Is it true that all north and southbound state and fed highways are odd numbered; east and west even?
You are correct for Interstate Highway Routes, or Freeways.

This is not necessarily the case for US highways, state highways, and county roads,
Yes. That's the way it works.
Yes, this is true for interstate highways. For example, I-10 goes E/W, I-15 goes N/S.
To a point the US and interstate numbers are N-S are odd and E-W are even, However three digit hiways are spurs and bypasses. spurs and bypasses do either but correspond to the highway they connect
I've been driving professionally for over 10 years, so i know this; US highways and interstates are numbered odd going north and south, even going east and west. State routes don't always follow this rule. Some highways, such as I-24 from Chattanooga, TN to north of Paducah, KY run in such a direction that it could be a North/South highway, but is designated East-West, so the direction may not always be exact.
Yes. FYI, the lowest numbers for odd start is California and get higher as you go east. ie IH 35 through Texas and IH 95 that goes along the East coast.
It's true for U S highways, But not all state highways.

Example Michigan M-66 runs north %26amp; south M-46 runs East %26amp; west
yes, i have the same question 2 weeks ago after watching Monk. so i did some research and guess what? All interstate freeways have the same naming system.
