What is the true purpose behind the war in the middle east?

Which one? There are many, and some of them have been going on for thousands of years. What is the true purpose behind the war in the middle east?
The great nations of the world have been fighting for control of middle east oil production, for a century.

That doesn't mean cheap oil for us. US oil producers couldn't compete with cheap oil. US oil costs too much to pump out of the ground for that, it would drive them out of the business.

It means they maintain the global price high enough so their own domestic production remains as profitable as possible, but not so high as to discourage consumption.

The US will continue to waste public money and blood on this fight, because the private interests that stand to benefit have great influence in Washington, and they don't intend to pay for it, or fight for it, themselves.

When US money for this nonsense runs out, the next ';great nation'; will pick up where we left off. That's been the pattern so far.

What is the true purpose behind the war in the middle east?
It is to make American arms manufacturers and facilities management organizations rich, while at the same time maintaining high levels of employment in the American arms and arms-related industries.

It is generally acknowledged that the American military industrial complex and related energy industries employ in excess of 60% of all working Americans.

Without the constant demand for material and energy resources that war produces, the American economy, as currently structured, would fail. This is a nightmare scenario that no American politician dares to contemplate.
I doubt there's a simple answer, but here are some common ones. Oil (and all things associated with that), money, geopolitical positioning, control of the area... and so on and so on. Generally the same reason for most wars. Or you could go with the official reasons... WMDs, making a democracy out of Iraq, staying there so the Iraqis don't kill themselves, protecting Americas freedoms from the terrorists.
we live in a world of a normal citizen, not in a world of a leader, cant know what goes in mind of them, but im sure when we speak about war, that its nothing good and nice.

and what i think its not necessarily required too.
Get preferential contracts for gwb's buddies, get cheap oil from puppet regimes (like the one Iraq has now) and resell it on the ';free'; market, making trillions of dollars profit.
I've heard something about oil and bigger profits for the oil corporations. I would like to hear the reason we went there.
oil, oil, oil KA CHING!!!
Oil its used worldwide and they have it.
