SOUTH - scarface is one of my favorites but is the only southern oldschooler i like. the south dominates airwaves nowadays, partly because of catchy beats. t.i is the only truth-speaking rapper tho. lil wayne is hot right now allthough he cant match the elete of the east. special metion do go to three6 mafia, ludacris, andre 3000, big boi for all doing there flow and adding to the hip-hop world something that had never been heard.Is it true that East Coast rap is better then Southern rap?

Don't get me wrong, the East never made party music like the south so pass some of that credit back, you guys never produced a 69 boyz, Luke, Raheem the Dream or none of that other fly ish back in the day.
hate to tell you that tha third coast has an underground you couldn't begin to imagine. and alot of songs ya'll be be hearin over their we been listenin to way before you and we on some new sh*t. also have you ever heard of D.J. These are three major producers for southern music, not from the south so it is just they are using better beats.
To js281_texasboy, Masta Ace has a better flow then Z-ro.
East side is better, but there is still about a handful of good rappers from the south, but majority of southern rapper are mediocre or sucks.
east coast is way better. I mean the south has some good rappers (bun b, andre 3000, big boi, scarface) and I give them my respects but the east coast gave birth to hip hop and they gave the world the WU TANG CLAN!!!
hell yes east coast is better cause all the south do is dance all day and im getting sick of it. im from the south and dallas tx we have some good rapper unlike ATL n new orleans. east coast have the best rappers nas 50 jay z biggie 2pac etc
The only rappers/group that I can think of that is close to the ones named are Outkast and thats it. It's all about word play and the East Coast has that on lock

honestly, them Eastcoast rappers can spit lyrics all they want, but if you wanna look at who runnin' the money/game right now then the south killin' it! YOU HAVE TO RESPECT THAT!
