Is this true ';you can always find East by staring directly at the sun';?

Not correct.

The sun rises in the eastern part of the sky, though not necessarily at a point due east of you. But the sun passes across the sky during the day, and does not remain in the east.

You can find east during the day if the sun is visible and you have an analog clock or wristwatch. Point the hour hand at the sun, and south is halfway between the hour hand and 12:00 on the clock face. Then just remember that east is 90 degrees from south, and there it is.Is this true ';you can always find East by staring directly at the sun';?
Blindness more likely!

The sun is in different parts of the sky depending on time and your position on the globe. So..no, not necessarily. Is this true ';you can always find East by staring directly at the sun';?
Sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Not always.
