Generally, Asians consider nature as sacred; Westerners have desacralized nature, and exploited it to near devastation. Now Western capitalists are turning to the East for more to exploit to satisfy their greed.Is it true that the East is more spiritual and the West is more materialistic? How?

materialism is a form of spiritualism. i am 'moved' when i see a brand new pair or rock%26amp;republic jeans.
I don't think its true. The more prosperous people get the more materialistic they get regardless of geographical location.
