The real reason, although Americans will never understand nor admit it because of a biased media, was US foreign policy towards Israel and the support it has provided in supporting the illegal occupation of Palestinian territory. This is the only reason 9/11 happened.


American propaganda, soon after 9/11, strove to provide answers that were related in some way to the 'jealousy of our freedoms' factor, which is egoistical and incorrrect. Thousands of Palestinians homes were destroyed and millions displaced when Israel was forcibly created in 1948 (The only state in history to be forcibly created). The resentment within the whole of the Arab world is very strong and for decades US military assistance, financial and political aid and the inability of various US administrations to deflect the pressure of the Israeli lobby in the US culminated in a terroristic attack on US soil. This resentment towards the US's biased support of Israel took many decades to finally come to fruition and was not, as many state, a contemporary reaction. Unfortunately, American citizens do not receive that same media coverage of events in Palestine as do Europeans and therefore remain perpetually naive to the plight of Palestinians and thus the true reason behind the 9/11 attacks.
I think that was part of it yes, but not all of it. We also got attacked because those people do not appreciate American culture as expressed in commerce coming into their countries and changing things.

We are involved in a war of cultures. It is not going to stop until one wins. The world is too small for us to just ignore each other anymore.

There is not a more simple concept to grasp. 2+2=4 is a harder concept to grasp. Yet people will come up with ideas, reasons and excuses by the list to keep from having to face this simple truth.
